Is Valhalla Glamping suitable for children?

Although we love children and have many of our own, Valhalla Glamping is designed as a couples retreat. We really value the opportunity for couples to be able to relax and enjoy the quiet.

Can I bring my pet?

As we are a working cattle property and have our own cattle dogs on the property it isn’t possible to bring your pet with you. Wild life such as wallabies live here and sometimes wild pigs and dingoes, so best to leave them safe at home.

Can I book the tents to stay with friends in a larger group?

Valhalla Glamping is a couples stay so we like for our guests to enjoy the quiet time. Stay tuned for future plans for accommodation for larger groups.

What can I expect at Valhalla Glamping?

RETREAT –RELAX –REJUNVENATE We are keen for you to kick back, sleep in and totally relax. Slow easy walks along the farm roads and tracks, eat, drink, repeat. Books, colouring in, fire pit, just to name a few.

Is food provided for our stay?

Each tent has a small kitchenette, BBQ cook top and small fridge. You are welcome to bring your own food, suggestions are foods that you can cook on the BBQ, salads etc. You can also look at our hamper options, everything from grazing platters, BBQ packs and breakfast options. All cooking utensils, plates, glasses etc provided.

Weather issues?

It can get windy as we are in the mountains but our beautiful tents are built and engineered to withstand cyclonic winds. Flooding through the valley does occur from time to time but as we are high above the creek you are safe and sound here. Please refer to our cancellation policy in case of adverse weather issues.

What Clothing should we bring?

It can range from quite warm on a summers day to very chilly on a winters night. Even if its summer we suggest you bring some form of a jumper or cardigan. The afternoon breeze can sometimes get a little cool. If you are planning on going for a walk we recommend that you wear comfortable closed in shoes and a hat. A water bottle would also be a good idea.

Can we Pat / Approach the Livestock?

While our livestock are quiet majority of the time, they can be unpredictable. We ask that you please do not approach any livestock at Valhalla unless you are instructed to do so with a member of our family present.

Do you have Reception / Internet Access?

Unfortunately, we only have Optus reception here. Telstra is available but patchy. We do provide Wifi, so you can dial in to the internet if you desire.

Can we light a camp fire?

Yes, you can light your camp fire in the fire pit that is provided next to your tent. Sometimes when the weather conditions are not ideal there can be a total fire ban put in place by the State Government. During this time no camp fires can be lit unfortunately.

Can we request a Late Check out?

Yes, if you are wanting to stay and enjoy the view just that little bit longer. Please let us know and we will see if that can be arranged. An additional fee will apply.

Can we drive around the property?

For the safety of yourselves, other guests and our livestock we ask that once you arrive, you only use your vehicle to come and go from Valhalla. The track from the main road to the tent is suitable for ‘most’ vehicles (Also weather permitting). If your vehicle is deemed to be unsuitable, we will transport you to and from the tent. There is a designated site for your vehicle to be parked close by your tent.

Will our vehicle get dirty?

Yes, there is a high possibility of getting your vehicle dirty, the road to the Valhalla is sealed but does have gravel in some sections.

As our livestock are not toilet trained you may have to dodge a cow pat or two on the road.

Can we smoke?

As the tents are canvas we ask that you keep well away. Please do not smoke in the tent or on the deck. Please remain at least 4 metres from the tent.

Do the tents have Air Conditioning?

Unfortunately, due to the fact that we are totally ‘off grid’ our tents do not have air con, but where the tents are situated a breeze isn’t too hard to find.

What is supplied in the Kitchenette?

We supply the essentials, oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, basic spices, aluminum foil, glad wrap, paper towels, & napkins.

Are the tents private?

Yes, the tents are approximately 100m from each other, plenty of privacy here.
